Another great year with some tremendous scores turned in.  Mine was decent but not even close to the big players.  Second day a 245 out of 250 was shot!
A fun course and a great time with old friends and new.  Saw Mr. Mike Yancey there as well as some of the archers that represented the USA in the world traditional shoot last year.  And judging from how they shot they'll be there again this year!  Thanks to all that blessed Fort Worth with many traveling long distances.
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

A couple more.  Just for the record this is probably the only target I out shot Billy Jack on.  He had a great round Sunday.

That was an outstanding longbow championship. I will definitely do the drive again for this one. You shot good Gary, the competition was real and the scoreboard showed it. Great meeting new folks including Mike Yancey and his son. Great bunch of folks there.

We had a blast and if there is any way this wont be our last trip. We camped at Cowtown RV park, just a few minutes away and it was super nice. The shoot and folks were great and I couldn't believe how tough the competition was and was very lucky to even be close. I seldom shoot 3D but with the boys getting older I want to have them in it.

We turned around and went to the Arkansas State Longbow Championship and did well there too. Dylan shooting again from the ladies stake was second in the youth with his Black Widow and I won the men's Selfbow and came in Second in the Men's Traditional Longbow. Again we camped and made a family trip out of it and are having a ball.

It was good to meet some of you guys face to face and thanks for such a great shoot.

We are going to try to make the Southern Plains Championship at McAlester the first weekend in August. We are going back to Africa the 11th so it will be rushing it a bit to do it before we leave. It is a great shoot and you guys should try to come.

Sounds like it would be worth the trip.   Being fresh back from Sofala I'll still be ready to shoot.

I shot in this match about 10 years ago.  An injury nocked me out of shooting for a while.  I wanted to return this year but my daughter graduated HS and we had a party planned the same weekend.  It’s an awesome match at an awesome piece of property.  Next year I will be there.  Congrats to you and your son!

Were are the restrictions on what bows are allowed or not?  I heard they "loosened" the rquirements.

No 3 piece bows.  One and two piece.  There is a self bow class as well.
