Meet the Bad Guys
« on: July 06, 2023, 10:22:00 AM »
Those danged O'l moderators of Tradgang!!!!  Heaven forbid they enforce the rules.  :smileystooges:

It has been brought to my attention that several videos and posts have been removed by multiple people for breaking the rules of not advertising here on Tradgang.

We've been here over 20 years and it's the same exact rule as day one. What gets me is some longtime members have posted hoping we didn't run off a new member. We have to follow the rules 1st and foremost, not sure why they still don't get it.

What's happens is people take advantage, knowing dang well what they are doing, and really don't care that they are doing it in your face.  Just imagine if you had a pizza place for years, then one day someone comes into your restaurant and advertised their pizza restaurant down the street. Major un-cool and uncouth.

What if you were a paying Sponsor and people advertised for free right under your nose?   What if the site allowed it?  How long would you Sponsor?

I'm sorry if someone got offended due to this, but we don't go the way of the world here. We have to stay true to ourselves and our paying Sponsors.

It's a shame but not surprising considering today's "choose your own alternate reality world" that you have to post something so obvious!

@ Terry, agree with ya. But bottom line it’s your site, run it as you see fit

Thank you.  I posted the following on the other thread that is now gone.

One of these guys tried this a few years ago promoting a book and schilling other non sponsor vendors. He was warned and left for years. Now he's at it again. I never trust people that push their military to gain favor while trashing others rules.

Seems like it's always easy to hate on the cops.  But the truth is that without them, our civilized society would break down.  And over time, bullies, "tribal warlords" and gangs would take over.  So with cops or without them,  in the long run, no one gets to do everything they darn well please.  I like having good cops myself, and I back the blue.

Giving the benefit of the doubt, there are probably those who post things without realizing that they are breaking the rules, and stepping on the toes of paying sponsors.

TradGang really is a good, good site.  Thanks for letting us interact and access its information for free.  And thanks for not letting things get out of hand.

I hear ya Archie, but most know they are breaking the rules and some have been warned before.

Those that don't realize they are breaking the rules means they didn't read the rules they agreed to.... which is blatant disregard.

So, there is no real 'benefit of the doubt'.

Thanks to who ever pulled the post where someone drug a sponsor in as a wedge of some sort.  Sponsors don't need that type of stuff.

The rules never bothered me. I actually like that some of the stuff that goes on other sites is not tolerated here.

Great reminder.

Charles,

I post from time to time that I wouldn't ever use a multi piece broadhead that can be taken apart.  I'm glad no one ever drug a sponsor in on me.  I buy from sponsors that carry them, but I don't like them and try to steer people away from them. Same as with those montec powdered metal heads.  :campfire:
