Howdy ya'll:
My wife and 5-yr old son were the lucky winners of the Mother's Day Give A Way. A special thanks to Vermonster for setting this up! Yesterday the package was delivered and I waited until Grant, my 5yr old son, was home to open it up. It really felt like Ol' St. Nick had visited the house.
Well, we received a Mad Dog Pup made by Dennis at Git-R-Done Archery, a Ragim Victory Recurve, a very nice back quiver for Grant, arrows, a tab, and little glove. I guess all the hours Grant had spent watching me must have helped because teaching him was much easy than I had expected. To all the dads out there, it's not that hard and my boy just turned 5 in April and he can pull the Mad Dog Pup (12@20) to full draw and he loves it - So don't wait it is really a blast.
Grant and Anne, my beautiful wife, took to trad archery like fish to water. I know that having quality matched equipment really helped as well. These two were wearing out my Glen Del Buck insert. My wife shot a wheelie bow before Grant was born and she was eager to give this trad thing, as she calls it, a go. She loves it! My 14yr old son now shoots my wife's old wheelie bow but he wanted to shoot the recurve and now I cannot get him in from shooting. Thank you so much. I'll keep you posted on their progress.
