Good to be Back
« on: October 15, 2023, 11:12:41 AM »
Fellows, wow, it has been about 5-10 years I have been away.  Started an asphalt maintenance business and lost all time to archery hunt, attend ETAR, etc.  The business has destroyed my back beyond repair according to surgeons so in a mixed blessing, I picked up the longbow again this year and what a blessed man I am.  Seems alot has changed as life moves forward.  No longer see the Magnus single blade heads I used for bear hunting.  Not sure on here where I can find bows for sale.  Bought a few Fedora bows on here back in the day.  Just signed up to Traditional Archer again.  Used to get it and Prmiitvie Archer for many years.   So grateful this site is still here...thank you to all those who make it happen.  I'm in eastern PA.

You have to be a site supporting member to see the classifieds.   Magnus is stillbselling heads.  I hunt with them sometimes.
Hope the back gets better with time but it actually seems to work the opposite.
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

You’ll have to find the Magnus 1 and 2’s second hand as they don’t make that line anymore. Terry and company made classifieds paid only due to so many scammers.

Hope you’re not in pain all the time from your back! Good luck and God bless.

Thank you brothers of the bow.  Just sent TradGang some money.  Thanks for catching me up.  Back hurts all the time but bearable mostly except maybe 2 days a week.  Blessing that I am reuinited with my bow in the woods.  I hunt public land and don't really see much or care if I shoot anything but the first time back out had a buck at 25 yards and doe at 35 yards.  Would have shot the buck but they busted me.  Can only ground hunt now.  Second time out a bear appeared at 10 yards and we scared the crap out of each other.  It ran, my heart ran, lol.  Hope to get back out later this week while weather is still kind.  God is good!
