Bob Lee Sig. Elite L/B pic's please??
« on: May 17, 2008, 12:12:00 AM »
I recently ordered a Sig. Elite in Bubinga from Sandy.  I am hoping Sandy will email me soon to say it is ready.

Can somebody please post some pics of their
Bob Lees in Bubinga??  She has posted me a catalogue with some pics of one in there, but it takes a while to get to Australia.  Any pics will be gratefully accepted.

I had a new Signature L/B last year - it was an awesome bow and I liked it a lot.  I sold it in order to order one in the Bubinga.  However I got side-tracked by a couple of other attractive floosies.  They have arrived and are very nice bows - but I just can't smash up nocks and bust feathers like I did with my Lee.

The only thing I did not like about my Lee was that it was made from 'plastic' wood - this Elite baby in the Bibinga will be the real deal!!

Pic's please!!

thanks guys - appreciate you taking the time to post.  They look gorgeous - can't wait.

The only difference in the one I have ordered is that the Sig does not have any Macarta - just solid Bubinga.

Hey Kip - what is the extra attachment you have on your limb bolt hole - the one closest to the grip?  Even the longbow limbs that are not attached appear to have them.  Is it for a quiver??

Can you tell me a bit about how she shoots - compared to other top bows you have shot?

Hi sutto    just came back from cutting a new trail in some rough cutover area and found some fresh hog sign so the bow might get some action soon.Great Northern Q.D. brackets.I only had two other bows since the mid 70's a K-Mag and 58" Howatt Hunter haven't shot many others. The Lees grip is close to the K-mag the reason I bought them. I am on my third Lee sold one of them to get the elite. The knife handle and t-wrench and file handle(not finished in pic) were from the drop off pieces from the riser Rob sent me with the bow so that it is all the same wood.I really like my two bows I have extra limbs longbow and recurve.I leave one bow at one hunting  camp that we have to get to by 4 wheeler about 2-miles so bringing a lot of gear is a problem so I keep all my hunting gear at the camp so a spare bow is nice.Kip

You are correct 'Gerardo' These bows just look so nice.  There is something about the strung shape/design, that really does it for me.

Sandy just emailed and said my bow is finished and just getting sprayed.  Unbelievable - I only placed the order two weeks ago.  There is no company like Bob Lee

Good looking bows there! Make sure you put some pictures up when she arrives. Are you going to introduce it to some goats?

I just talked to Rob yesterday, I was visiting with him about Longbow limbs for my riser, I have a "hunter" recurve, and Rob said; " you have to go about 3 or 4 lbs. more on the Longbow limbs to get the same performance as you do on the recurve to use the same arrow set up.  So I decided to stay with the recurve, I sure do like the performance, my little 43 pounder is tossing those arrows 189 fps,435 gr total arrow weight, although I realize speed is not everything, I do have my set up as 10 gr per lb. of bow weight.  And it works out great,

The Bob Lee recurve, is the first bow that I've been able to pick up right out of the box, and shoot straight at what I'm looking at.  Now I didn't say I would hit it, but starting off I was within inches of where I was looking.

You can go wrong with the Bob Lee.

I have the Classic Elite takedown longbow it has a bubinga riser with the white micarta stripe down the middle. Mine is 45# @28.

You are absolutley correct these bows shoot great. It shoots so well for me that I can't think of reason to buy anything else. Now I just spend my money on arrows.

I would like to post a pic. However I haven't been able to figure out how on tradgang.
