Bear C riser setup....
« on: November 21, 2023, 01:02:13 PM »
Okay
No doubt this is an old subject but can someone please educate me a bit here.
I currently have the 1972 Victor Viking Wood C riser and I'm thinking of setting it up for some 3-D shooting. I'm not sure of the correct limb #2 or #3.

I'm thinking if I get the #2 limbs at 40#'s my draw length at 28" I'll be pulling 36#'s and I'll have a 68" bow. This is what I want....

If I get the #3 limbs at 40#'s my draw length at 28" I'll be pulling 36#'s and I'll have a 70" bow.

Is this correct?????

Yup sounds about right. The weights on new limbs are marked for a B handle and the C handle is 6” longer so a decrease of about 3-4#.

Have the posted #'s always been from the B Riser?

Was it previously from the A Riser then deduct 2 #'s for the B and then 2 additional #'s for the C?

I think it's the length of the riser's A to B and then B to C and then figuring out the correct lbs that confuses me a bit.

I'm looking at new TD 2 limbs that are posted  A 58" 40#'s, B 62" 38#'s and hoping this would give me on the C Riser a 68" bow that pulls 36#'s @ 28"............
