Tractor Supply compressed bedding bails

I cannot remember if I read this here or somewhere else but I had read that someone was using the Tractor Supply compressed bedding bails for targets. I went to go look at them today as an alternative to spending $150/$200 for a new archery target. They look awesome and for $25.00 I was wondering for those that use these, how they hold up ?

As long as you keep them out of the weather, they will last at least a year with daily shooting. I just kept it on a skid with a piece of mine belting over it.

I am assuming yours are straw hay and about 60#. I wrapped them individually with 3 mill. plastic sheathing to avoid a mess and set them on a raised base. They have lasted a long, long time in the garage. Outdoors, I would cover them.

I had one several years ago. It worked great and lasted quite a while. If kept outside in the weather it’s best to keep it covered.

I have a 20 yard range down my basement, so it will be inside. It sounds like it will last quite a while then . It’s a great option. Thanks guys 👍
