Well I put my name on the list for a new Centaur bow and just looking for some advise from some of the people that already have one. I have a 30" draw and the 60" bow is good to 31". I am going to use it for elk hunting and also bear and deer hunting here in Alberta.
I am just wondering would the owners suggest the 60" or would you say to rather go to the 62" for potentially the shoot ability and stability of a longer bow, or with the Centaur would you not really notice too much difference going to the longer bow?

I shoot a 60" Carbon Elite, but only have a 27" draw on a good day.  Can't say how it does past that, but mine doesn't stack and Jim knows how to make 'em.  You can compare other 60 vs 62" bows and get a good idea in general terms, but hopefully someone will chime in who actually has a long draw and experience with those bows.  Ask Jim too - he's built a lot of bows for a alot of people, and may have some advice based on customer experience.  You can also post on his facebook as there may be a lot of alums on there who can chime in.  -K

I've been shooting Jim's bows a long time. I have five of them. Good advice to talk to Jim. My own experience ... I would bet that if you blindfolded yourself and shot the 60" and the 62" back to back you couldn't tell which is which....personal preference rules here I think. I always err on the side of longer but I dont hunt many tight places either. He builds a 64" too. If I were you I would concentrate on getting the grip right.

I have had many 60 and 62 inch Centaurs.I liked the 60 inch bows more.I was drawing around 29.5 inches

Thanks for the replies so far! I have talked to Jim and he certainly is a great guy that is very knowledgeable about his bows. Jim was basically saying that both will work well for me, so just looking for some experience and maybe owners on here and what they chose and what they think now.

I would make my decision based on whether you're flying and the cover you're working in.

I was weighing the same decision 4ish years ago when I ordered my triple carbon. I went with the 60" and i don't regret it one bit. I have a 28" draw and 60" seems like the perfect length for me.

I can't help ya on the draw length, but if you are getting a TD and planning on flying one limb is about an inch and a half longer than the other when taken down. So, make sure you know the longest length so you measure the duffel you plan on using if your are planning on using one.  You will want enough length on both ends of the duffel to add padding by the way of clothing.

I have a 28 inch draw also and 60 if my favorite length, but I went with the 58 just for another inch of padding for my TD.

I have a28” dl and I think my 58” is faster than my 60” they both shoot good and no stack. Anyway Jim is more experienced than any other on his bows.
