bow fishing the old way

I can't remember which Video HH did when he was bow fishing he didn't have a reel/spool for the line. It was just dropped at he's feet... anyway, does anyone bow fish like that now?

I've not seen it done that way.  I would think that having the line laying down like that would mess with arrow flight, altho it might have helped with the need to shoot low when shooting fish.  The old Fred Bear shorts show him with a small wrap type reel.

Give it a try and let us know how it works.    :D

since Hill was probably using a 300# bow at the time it probably did little to that arrow flght.
Silence over speed.  Heavier arrows never hurt.
