adding weight idea?
« on: May 18, 2008, 09:26:00 PM »
Was wondering who has tried lead core fishing line to their arrows for weight?

Gonna pick some up and see what kinda grains epr inch it gives. Might be able to slide a couple pieces down three rivers weight tubes.

Weight tubes distribute the weight the entire length of the shaft.Adding weight the either end will affect the spine and tune of your arrows.Do you plan on glueing the weights down so the don't move?

some use the fish tank tubing and this seems to work well for carbon arrows. I hve use 1/8 inch poly rope and this seems to add about +10 weight to the shaft with no change to the spine of the arrow.
