TRADTRACKER APRIL SPECIAL
« on: March 30, 2024, 03:16:54 PM »
For all sales from today through April 30th I am adding a five bobbin pack of the new white extra strength thread.    If you buy it through 3 Rivers send me a text with the purchase date and I will mail you a pack.   The white thread is shorter (about 200 yards compared to about 350 yards but 70%+ stronger.   In my testing it too shows little affect on arrow flight.   i will be interested in hearing results from others.
BTW I have been playing with using a piece of the adhesive based camo tape instead of the cork.   It eliminates the issue of using the cork.   If one wanted to use this method they could actually cut off part of the back of the tracker if they wanted a more compact unit.  This would however make it difficult or impossible to use the bungee attachment method.
Happy Easter all.

Just placed an order.  I had a look at these at LTR '24 and liked how small and light they are.  I think the stronger line will be a plus.  Just bought my Michigan turkey tag so looking forward to trying it out this spring.

How are you attaching the line to the arrow? I just tried mine out and the line breaks if it is screwed in to the insert.

I wrap it five or six times and screw insert firmly but dont go overboard.  It will sometimes break at that point with a hard foam target but not with an animal.  I dont do it but some use a La small piece of tape in addition

What would be your recommendations for mounting to wood arrows?

On wood arrows i wrap five or six times and then put on a very small strip of duct tape.  The tape can be pre cut and taped on the arrow in advance
