Anyone want some Osage?
« on: May 20, 2008, 11:10:00 PM »
I've got a line on a bunch of Osage orange.  The trees have been cut down and are laying there in great big logs.  I don't make bows, and don't know what to do with it.  Anybody want some?

That'd be great, as long as you weren't too far up in Illinois. Thanks for the offer !!!

The ends need to be sealed immediately after cutting them down or they can/will check...which will cause them to be worthless or far less usable wood. You can seal them with white wood glue or latex paint.
