Fantastic adventure! Congratulations on the successful hunt! I just have one quick question regarding your feathers and the weather. What do you do to keep your feathers in good shape with all the dampness and rain?
Thanks!

Congratulations, Mike.  Another fine hunt and recounting.  I will have to continue to test my metal on the AT, as I "mature".  Really enjoy your hunting trips and the telling.  Keep going as long as you can.  I'll continue to pray that all goes well on your adventures.

I treat with Ozark Water "Poof" water repellent. Come in 10 ml bottle you brush on. It holds up pretty good, but feathers get wet and stay wet all night in tent (as i have no heat), then get wet all again the next day. I bring 11 arrows and swap a couple out them out from time to time .... but when it just doesn't pop at all I but one or two of them in Ziplock bag and tape with electric tape with pull tab end. Pull them out when time is right.  Also, I use four five-inch feathers to give a little rudder.

Necessity is the mother of invention.  Keep at it, Mike.  Solitude is golden.
