1500 year old arrow.
« on: September 28, 2024, 01:27:08 PM »
The snow and icepatches in the Norwegian mountains are melting because of warmer climate and many things have been found at the ice edge. The picture shows a 1500 year old arrow, nicely barrel shaped.  Most likely lost during reindeer hunting 1500 years ago.

Fabulous finds.  Those arrowheads seem very large/long.

I love seeing those posts pop up from the research crews. Every time I see those arrows I want to try some.

Looks like the archers of old had it figured out pretty well.
Stay sharp, Kenny.

I have to imagine that losing that arrow was a pretty costly mistake back then.
