Need Arrow Dynamics advice.
« on: December 22, 2024, 12:34:36 PM »
I've been using Arrow Dynamics arrows for years and love them - very forgiving across a wide range of spines.
Over the time I've been using these arrows, I have usually been shooting #50-55 lb bows. With these bows I am using the Arrow Dynamics - (Traditional Series) arrows. As I've aged, I have been gravitating towards slightly lower weight bows in the #45-50 lb range.
So 3Rivers has Arrow Dynamic arrows on sale and I'm thinking about stocking up on some more.  They are offering the Nitro-X Traditional (Black & Woodgrain) - their Lites are for bows #35-55, their Trads are listed for #55-75. They also have Stingers (Black & Woodgrain) in 500 and 330 spine.
It appears the Nitro-X lites are probably my best bet based on the spines listed, but the whole time I've been shooting the Arrow Dynamics it has been with the regular Traditional series, out of 50+ lb bows - cut to 29.5" with 150 grain points - and they fly like darts.  I was hoping to stick with the regular Traditionals so I can just keep all my arrows the same. But, I'm leery they are going to be too stiff if I'm using one of my lighter weight bows. Perhaps I could make it work by cutting them longer?  Even though Arrow Dynamics can handle a wide range of spine, I'm thinking using the Traditional regulars might be too big a stretch for a 45 lb bow?
Thoughts?
