Tell me about the Oberon 62" longbow
« on: October 13, 2024, 07:55:29 AM »
Does anyone have one of these?  I like the bit of thumb rest on the grip.  I draw 27 1/2" so length should not be a problem.  In the past I have tried longbows but the light weight and grip cause me to stay with recurves.
Anyone do any speed testing?

Did you ever end up with one?  Seriously considering this bow right now as I've spent too much time over the holidays watching YouTube and dreaming of a new bow..

I have shot two both to me were jerky when I draw them back. I passed and Shot Mesa 64" and liked it and bought it.

I recently picked one up on a whim to try out. It’s only 40# so very smooth drawing to my 28” draw length. Grip is very comfortable with the thumb rest though a little on the small side for my hands. Very light in the hand. I had to go up to close to an 8” brace to get it as quiet as I like but my arrows were pretty light. I don’t have a chrono but speed is comparable to my 41# PLX. I doubt I’ll keep it though. Would like to try the recurve version.

Thanks for the feedback.  Mesa was the first one I'd seen and considered.
