Blasts from the past...and loving it!
« on: May 23, 2008, 06:20:00 PM »
I seem to be finding things that remind me of the past…I just acquired two new boxes (twelve heads total) of 2 blade Thunderhead 150’s and three new packages of blades.  I shot my largest bow buck with one of these heads back in 1990.  I have three of the originals left and can use those for practice.  I’m going to be hunting with them this fall for sure along with my new favorite…150 grain Snuffers.

Today I was given a box of goodies from my best friend and it contained one new package of Razorbak 4’s and a new pack of Razorbak 5’s, there was another box of Razorbak 4’s that only had one head in it.  I’m shooting 145 grain field points right now on my carbons out of my Kota and since these weigh 142 grains I might have to give one a try.  I think at the least I should carry one for a small game head.

What do people think about using these heads for traditional hunting?  Could I go after deer size game or should I stick to something else?

Thanks,

Josh
