Close enough to get a shot at but the minute I would have blinked, he'd have been long gone.

These turkeys were right in front of my blind less than a week after the season closed!!! I did shoot a jake with my recurve on the last day of the season from this blind but did not have any shots at any mature birds! There were 4 nice mature toms standing in front of my blind before I got my camera out and shooting.

To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

Nice lookin' tom.  I love that white tail fan (we've got Easterns here 'bouts).  Hopefully he'll be there for you next spring.   ;)

Boy that's pretty country.  I've really got to try this Turkey thing next year!
Let's go to the woods and learn things about life (Penelope, age 4, to me).
