Steve,
I would start with 70/75.  You ought to give Paul Jalon at Elite Arrows a call.  He knows wood arrows and he has test kits available so you don't have to spend big money on shafts that won't work.

Hey I'm working the early shift this week getting off around 2:00pm.  We need to get together.

Hi Mike.. I'd love to bro. I'm gonna be heading out of town tomm. After a.m. Church service... I won't be back until next Saturday...  I actually have some arrows from Paul in that very weight!  They are flying good but wanted to see if that was anywhere near right...

I have a really weird thing going on... OUt of my BW longbow I shoot carbon shafts better and out of my BW Recurve the woodies fly great... Wish it were the other way around...

You gonna shoot the Red River Tourny next weekend?
Blessings,
Steve

pastorsteve-With my Widow longbows, I found that I only needed to go a little in spine above the bow weight. My 55# and 58# Widow longbows shoot 60-65# woodies like darts. With my 58# recurve, I found a 75# spine woodie flew great. 125 grain points and 29" to back of point and a 28" draw on both longbow and recurve. Lots of variables come into play like how clean your release is ect. Good luck! Mike
