Me and the kids were out walking through some undeveloped areas near our house and came across this. Can anyone help ID it?

Its not very big at all, 7 1/2 inches long 3 1/2 wide.here is a pic from the bottom

Looks like a 40# house dog skull to me.

My vote is for canine as well...  I love skulls.  They are fun to find and always offer mystery as to the owner.
