The magic is all in the shooter. I have started to build some bows that keep their shape, shoot hard and are easy in the hand, but like you John I am only a fair shot. Always amazes me to see folks who make accuracy look easy.
Doug told me that the bow he has which is tillered for split finger works perfectly for his three under form if he turns it upside down.
I still remember (not that long ago) when tillering was a TOTAL mystery to me. Folks would bend a bow on the tree, walk up and make some pencil marks. "What???" I would say. I saw nothing to mark. Lots to learn and having fun doing it.
