Leftover riser wood?
« on: June 17, 2008, 06:04:00 PM »
I made this laminated sea turtle for a lady out of some pieces of leftover riser woods:  yellow heart, purple heart, bloodwood, cocobolo, kingwood, ebony, walnut, bocote, and a couple of others.  It took me over a year to make and it has over 580 pieces.  Each angle is 60 degrees except the belly parts.  Titebond III throughout.  Only natural wood colors--no dyes.  My design.  Won't try it again.  It interferes with my bowmaking!
