Arrows for kids bow
« on: June 20, 2008, 05:03:00 PM »
I just bought a Black Rhino M-58 for my son. It's 35# @ 28" and/or 20# @ 22".

His draw length is ~25.5", so I figure his draw weight will be right around 28#s or so.

He wants to learn to make his own cedars. What spine shafts do you think he would need? I'm thinking 30-35.

Thanks!

I think the 30-35 will do well.  Start with them a little long and cut them down until the shoot well.  3" fletch should be plenty, too.  It's great to see kids with good equipment, Thanks.

Thanks Fletcher!

Anyone else? I see Dennis has poplar shafts spined as low as 26-30.
