RER LX, XR, or LXR Pics.
« on: June 21, 2008, 03:22:00 PM »
Would like to see some pictures of you Rivers Edge (RER) LX, XR, and LXR bows and what you thought of them. Shot a few last weekend at the Coon Rapids 3D shoot and am really considering one. Would like to see others bows and experiences with them. Seem to shoot as well as all the other RER bows I've shot and owned in the past.

Great, can't wait to see pics of yours. Been a RER fan for a few years now, Kevin and Sure are the greatest as are thier children, just don't go on a 3D shoot with that son of thiers, he'll put you to shame.
Had Kevin write up a preliminary order for a LX, but am thinking of changing to a LXR before I give the final go ahead. Have to sell a couple other bows before I can pull the trigger on this one.
Lets see some pics though;)

Hey Otto, Very nice set. Love that Vortex with the heel on the belly of the riser. Saw your pics on another thread and always wondered where you got those Black, Yellow, and Red strings. They would be a perfect match for my arrows;)

Tanks for the compliments.  Those were the original strings that came with each bow.

Got a chance to shoot Rod's new LX and was really impressed with how it handled and the raw speed.

First time I've got a chance to meet the Termaat family. Kevin, Sue, Austin, Nikki and Emily; it was a pleasure. Special thenks to Emily for helping us with Masters Of The Barebow 3  :)

I think I found my "next" new bow this weekend at Compton's. It is the Arroyo. It fits my big mitt perfect and the shape of the handle is perfect for my medium to high wrist grip I prefer. Also, I have a real hard time pulling bows shorter than 60 inches because of a shoulder injury but I pulled a 58" and a 54" and with the semi static recurve tips it was a dream to pull back!  :bigsmyl:

Kevin should be shipping my new CLX today with the compact 13" riser.  The riser is ebony/birdseye bocote flare and the limbs are Bamboo cores with Ebony wedges and birdseye bocote veneers over clear glass with horn tips.  62" and 50# @ 28".  This wil be a loooong week for sure.

That's going to be a beauty Doug!  I've got a piece of gorgeous bocote picked out for a new XR that I have on order.  Kevin gets some of the nicest bocote I've ever seen!

Be sure to post pictures when yours arrives!

Dn't have any pics, but I have 2 RER recurves, both 58" long one48#,one40# both perform like bows 10# heavier. Great bows, sharp lookers also.

Doug you're going to really like that bow. I shoot my LX better than anything I've ever shot and it's the smoothest bow bow for me to draw.
Also Joe, man that is one beautiful bow! You have got some real lookers.    How does the XR compare to the LX? I've thinking about one as a hunting bow.

XR is just a touch faster if you care about such things and put them through a cronograph.  I can switch back and forth between XR and LX with no adjustment needed.  Both great shooting bows.
