working woodies from Compton's
« on: June 22, 2008, 06:32:00 PM »
Just got back and started tapering nocks on some shafts from Larry at Lost Nation. Went real well with my Bearpaw tapering tool from KustomKing. Much easier and more precise then the plastic pencil sharpeners. Got a great deal on a pair of Windstopper gloves with Skookum finger tips from Mike at The Nocking Point. Also got a chance to meet some of the gang at the Tradgang powwow.
Attendance seemed down but it was a great atmosphere. Met and shot with many new friends from across the country. Oh yeah, I also picked up my new Zipper! Bubinga, wenge, and figured Zebrawood in the riser and Bubing Palmallae(sp) in the limb venners. I'll post pics when my wife gets back from her travels. How did your shopping and experiences go?

Thanks Dave. Sounds like you made it home well also. It was great meeting you. I think Wisconsin it my second favorite state now! You've got yourself a keeper, will you bring her back next year?

Marta of course    Saddie is pretty cool, too. Mike

Nice camping across from Marta and Sadie and OH yea, you to Dave.  The grandkids talked all the way home about playing with Sadie.  Had a great time with you guys at Comptons.  It was nice to meet other tradgangers like you and Mike (owlbait)

Hey Jon, I'll PM you my address so you can send me that info about the primitive event you told me about. Nice to meet you. Kinda crazy that I stopped to talk to Paul and met you at the same time. I've been in Hesperia 20 years now but quit working down in Muskegon only 10 years ago. Sure is a small world.
