Horn Hunter makes one in Predator. I bought one before going to Colorado last year and I really like it. They have several models to choose from.

Checked both out and it seems like Bison gear would be my choice. Anybody have a pic of the Gopher pack with shoulder straps? There is not one on the website but it sounds like what I am looking for.
Those of you who are familiar with the Bison gear packs what is your choice of fabric and why? I am thinking about the Predator wool.

Lewis,
Angelo at Bison gear will make you a pack exactly how you want it. His speacialty is custom packs made to order. I have a lost river and one of his treestand packs both are outstanding. My lost river is wool and the treestand pack a heavy fleece. He has some real nice digital camo patterns now as well.

What wouls be the advantages between the wool, fleece or bucksuede? I have never had any gear made of any of those materials.
The custom part is why I think I will go with Bison Gear that and the warranty he offers. Sounds like a company that is serious about customer service to me.

Wool and bucksuede are both plyable and quiet in use with the bucksuede being a little less so in extremly cold weather. Wool is water resistant while bucksuede is almost waterproof. Angelo demonstrates by pouring water on it and letting it set. I carry Bison Gear in my shop and have just ordered the Teaton in bucksuede for myself. Jim

I am trying to decide between the Predator Bucksuede and the Predator Fleece. Which would be the most waterproof and scentproof? Also is the bucksuede stiff/loud?

go with the bucksuede. It is alot more waterproof (see previous post ). Fleece would be quieter but has a lot of drawbacks. JIM

I have done a ton of research and it looks like Bison gear is the way to go for me. Angelo is sending me a pack in about two weeks, he said to try it out and see what I lkie and don't like and he will have one made as I want it. I am getting the buckseude as I too want something waterproof and that will not absorb scent so easily. Shawn

JPE what are the drawbacks with fleece? I dont see that he has a Predator wool so the choice would be between predator fleece or bucksuede. What exactly does the bucksuede feel like, canvas?

I second what Dave said . Angelo is a first rate guy. Worked with me for several days listning to my ideas for a custom packand quiver combo. He decided that my idea could be used and is working on it for me right now. Should be here by september bear hunt. I'll post pics at that time.
