Arrow spine question

Hello, I have a question on arrow spine.

I have a Martin mamba, 50#@28 DL.  I figure as I draw a 28.5" on my compounds, I should be around 27" (?) for my draw.

I figured the best that I could on the GoldTip chart for a 47# recurve I needed a 35/55 shaft (Xped Hunter Black) so that's what I purchased.  I though I had ordered just the shafts, but I ended up getting a box with pre-fletched 4" feathers and nocks, full length.  After reading a lot on here about a high FOC, I also purchased the Muzzy 100gr brass inserts, and picked up some 125gr tips.  

I have an arrow saw, but I'm confused as to how long I should cut them to, being that the shorter the arrow the stiffer the spine.  I can get away with a lot on the wheelbows, but with my recurve I want to make sure I'm at least in the ballpark.

Does anyone have any idea where I should start?  I was going to epoxy in the inserts at full length tonight, but thought it best to ask first rather than having to strip off the feathers and start lopping off the ends of the arrows to get them into the correct length.

Maybe I should have picked up some feathers in my 3R order from this week...  (doh.)

Ya maybe around 27"s butyou also may increase a bit when ya find an anchor you like. I would say cut a 35/55 to 29"s and try 225 grains up front, if they are a bit weak go down to 200 grains or cut another 1/2' off. If you find you are drawing 27"s than ya can cut all the way down to 28"s and be good with that 225 up front. Shawn
