new to me black widow

well look what came in the post today. its a psr2 black widow recurve 56" 54# @27" awesome bow you can see that for ya self. thank you rastaman good deal iwill send those carvings when i get em done no problem. jeff   and no i aint shot it yet as i am recovering from an op LOL!!!! sorry about the pic as my cam is on the blink so i had to use the pic randy sent me.  :thumbsup:

CONGRATS my brother!! I have a PMAV I shoot and I love it! Get great groups and have won some trophy buckles with it this year...great bows and a great resale value to boot if you ever need to do so

oh yeah i here they are an awesome bow to shoot and its killing me not beeing able to shoot just yet. bugger mind you 54# is a bit much but we will see.  :thumbsup:

That's a smooth pulling bow Jeff.  I think you won't have any problems with it.  Mine is 63# and it's really starting to grow on me. Not quite as forgiving as a longbow but darn close.  Watching those arrows blaze outta those PSR's is addicting!

ummmm i just put some arrows through it this morn but hell its way to heavey for me ineed somthing in the 48# 47 or 45#range but you are right it does blaze an arrow out for sure.

What year was it made, Jeff? That handle still has me thrown, but maybe it's just the angle of the photograph. I hope you're on the mend, and easing into the shooting of it! Cheers, Ben

Righto. That makes it one of the last examples of the SAG (Short Autumn Grey) model, which ended by the start of 2004. The PSR (Precision Short Recurve) model was introduced in 2005. They look pretty similar, but there are slight differences. Whichever, it'll still be death on those fallow and goats!
