Which Carbon Arrow

I recently Traded for a new Recurve, I'm getting the Monuntain Bow from Legends Bows....
    It will be 64" 48 @ 29" and I will use a 125 grain head....The arrow will be cut to 29" BOP.
    I'm looking for a good inexspensive Carbon Arrow....$40 a Dz range.

The only carbons I am aware of in that price range would be the gold tip blems from Sipsey River. There may be others though.

Our BlackHawk Vapor 2000s might be ok. Look at the Sponsor's Classifides. They are cheap too!

by the sounds of it this is your first go at carbon arrows, the 1st thing you don't want to do is paint yourself into a corner by establishing an arrow lentgth and tip weight. 1st thing to do is to tune the arrow to the bow carbons are a different breed of cat and need to be worked different. arrow length is a thing of the past with carbons, unless you want to add tip weight till you get the right spine.

I agree with the 2000s with around 175 grains up frontand cut to 30"s may work for ya, if a bit weak go down to 150 grains! Shawn

I'm paying right at $40 a dozen for Beman Ventures.  They've been trying to phase them out for a while, so you may have to go with a the Beman ICS hunters (about $50/dz). I shoot both out of my 48# Great Plains recurve.  Both fly excellent, but the Hunters will cost you a bit more, but they are easier to find.

Why is arrow length a thing of the past now? (I'm not very knowledgeable).  I have a 64” Miller Longbow 55#@26 Reflex-Deflex made with heat tempered bamboo with an osage belly. I obtained my draw length by doing the “yardstick on the chest reach method” - my fingers go out to 24.5” add 1” (standard add) = 25.5”.  The builder of the bow sent instructions that said his arrow spine recommendation is 50-55.  I have never shot or researched carbon or aluminum arrows, but I want to try Carbon.  What should I consider?
