I just received my Grizzly Stik Sitkas in the mail today and need a little advice on tuning them.
I have read that they have a "spine" or stiff side due to way they are made and one way to find it is to roll them on a flat surface. I recently remodeled a bathroom and kept a 36" square mirror that was on the wall, I plan on rolling them on that old mirror tonight. One question I have is: Once I determine the spine side, how should I align the nocks? My mind says either stiff side against the riser or up, would this be correct?
Another question I have is about point weight with the sitkas, I want to go as heavy as possible with good flight. I have several options, I have Grizzly 190s, Zwicky No Mercy 130gr, and Woodsman 125gr. I also have a 75 and 100gr steel adapters, brass inserts etc.. to play with point weight.
What do you all think would be the max point weight for these bows:
Black Widow PLV 45-46#
Tomahawk Diamnond Series Desert Fox 52#
Martin Serengeti recurve 48#
All are at 27-27.5" draw length
Thank you all very much in advance.
