Gamemaster shooters....
« on: July 20, 2008, 09:48:00 AM »
I've got a Gamemaster on order, it should be here this week. I was planning on ordering the DAS limb pads for it. Well, I was just on the DAS site, and the catolog is "off line untill further notice." So my question is, do the limb pads really make that big of a difference? Also, does anyone know where I can get some? I looked at 3 Rivers and didn't find any. Thanks in advance.

i just used felt on my black riser gamemaster 2....but my camo gamemaster2 didnt need them it only took string silencers and limbsavers to quiet it down. guess it just depends on the bow. but you can make some easy...alot of guys even use bike tire tube material.

I cut some thin leather and made my own limb pads, seems to help with the noise. Limbsavers and wool puffs on the string also helped.

With just a s-coil stabilizer and cat whiskers mine is pretty quiet. I have a pair of limb savers that I might put on as well, might not.

Bret, you can probably email David Souza and get a set. I just got a set of DAS bushings from him by simply emailing him.

I just set up another GameMaster. I put a piece of clear lamination paper on the riser between the limbs. Works wonders, alot of take down bows already use this. I have done a few other things and mine is Real Quite.  If you need any help give me a yell.

On my GM2 I used auto cork gasket material from auto zone. Its water proof and a whole sheet is about 2 bucks a piece, but my brace height was my biggest noise maker. Set it up about 7.25 to 7.75 brace height and see if quiet now plus put bow jacks on your string.

I got the pads and the string from david and it improved the bow significantly. Way quieter.  I put a SRF on it and I can now shoot with confidence out to 35 yards.
