I too am a stay at home dad since the little ones brith. I used the Kelty backpack until his weight effected my right shoulder and my ability to get full extension.  Swithched to a 3 wheel jogging stroller, larger spoked wheels and even in the sand at our range it worked great. Last year, I got him a bow and he could walk the course and shoot and when he got tired then he could ride.  Now he is almost four and this summer is walking the course the full way.  He gets a little tired towards the end and complains a little bit but were having fun.  Used mosquito netting on both the pack and stroller great stuff to have when needed!!!  Bring plenty of snacks and liguids all the time!  Earlier on I also tossed in a diaper and supplies for one change, now we just pee in the woods!  Good luck have fun, somedays he just wanst to shoot one arrow and other days he can't shoot enough.  Be flexable......
