WD-40.

Charlie is right and the goo-gone works too! Peanut butter works great and does not leave a strong unnatural odor! Shawn

I go goo-gone to get rid of any adhesive, then 90:10 isopropanol (high end rubbing alcohol without the oily stuff in it) to get rid of the goo-gone. Goo-gone does have a little oily-ness to it if you are trying to put something back on there to stay.
