trad archers are everywhere
« on: August 03, 2008, 02:30:00 PM »
on my way to yellowstone, my dad, my best friend, and I spent the night in Amorillo, we went to this huge steak house, well sitting next to us were a couple of guys speaking German, my dad was stationed in germany in the army so he started talking to them, they knew english as well so I started talking to them and long story short we started to talk about hunting and he told me how lucky I was to be able to bowhunt in my country, he told me that he shoots target archery but that its so hard to find wood arrows where he lives so I told him I'd make him some, so now I am waiting for him to get home and send me his specs so I can make him some arrows

There´s quite a few of us over here!
There are a lot of 3D shoots, ´cause bow hunting is not legal.

Nice gesture of you!

Trad archers like yourself Ian are some of the most generous sportsmen and women around.

We had a shoot here in Michigan this past weekend. Great shoot, better eats and a fine raffle.  After the raffle the organizer said that they had a few hats and t-shirts that they wanted to raffle off with the proceeds going to the family of a member of the club that put the shoot on who recently died. The family was having some money issues in regards to the funeral expenses.

$700.00 was raised in an hour.  There were guys buying $20.00 worth of tickets and passing them around to kids so they could have a chance at a shirt or hat.

That is traditional archery at it's best.

Don't even want to think about what would have happened to me without Tradgang  :notworthy:
Bowfishing is a teamsport!

One shooting, the others saying: "Over the top"!

there are more of us than you think. Remember we are masters of camoflauge.

See that squirrel across the street? See the 5'5" fire hydrant with a bow leaning against it...

 We are everywhere...
