Trad in Spring, TX?
« on: August 03, 2008, 03:08:00 PM »
I've got an aquaintance who used to shoot trad in college and would like to pick it up again.  She tells me she lives in Spring, Texas, just north of Houston.

Anyone in that area that wouldn't mind talking to her, or can suggest a club/shoot int he area that she could get her feet wet at?

Tell her to try Shureshot Archery in Humble, Tx. which is approx. 12-15 miles east of Spring on FM 1960. The owner of the shop is Edward Vargas and they carry several different traditional brands like   Bob Lee, Great Plains, Quinn bows, and others. If I remember right their ph# is 281-540-2265 if not just call information.

She might try another site (hope this is ok, Mods...)  Texasbowhunter.com, as they have a traditional campfire, as well.  A few good trad folk around Houston.  I'm about 2 hours NE of the Big H myself.  Grew up there and was glad to have an opportunity to get away to the Deeeeeep Piney Woods of East Texas.
