Gretings all!! I am in the process of being hired for US Border Patrol Agent. I may be stationed anywhere aong the southern border (I did request Arizona/New Mexico) and was wondering if anyone could shed some light on hunting down there. Anyone have any helpful info?

Greenhed,
AZ & NM are some fine hunting states, but vastly different than the water filled green mountains that you're familiar with in ID. The elk grow bigger in both states than ID, due to mild winters. The trick is getting a tag....You'll enjoy hunting Javelina in January, there are generous and liberal deer seasons, Cous deer are a trophy in the eye of the beholder.
I'll be good hunting but vastly different than ID. Get yourself a big Camelbak......

+1 on the Camelbak. Underarmor, too. I wear one under my work uniform (UPS driver), and it is truly a Godsend when it's hot.
