« on: August 16, 2008, 03:02:00 PM »
I was looking at our new sponsors website       ( ABOWYER.COM) and ran across this picture which to me reminds me of what traditional bowhunting means to me! Giving Thanks/ and Respect for the animals we hunt, and are fortinute to harvest for our familys!! What a great picture....I had to share it with you all!

He also could have just come to the sudden realization of the work he has ahead of him. Anyways, great picture. Something about moose that just screams traditional.

Are you sure he is giving thanks?? Looks to me like he's praying for help to haul that sucker out.   :bigsmyl:

Bear Heart.....

I thought the same thing. Perhaps he's giving thanks and the moose hasn't given up the ghost, quite yet?

I would guess the branch behind the neck has a fork in it and is holding the head in that position...  still a damn good pic.  Congrats to the archer.

That is a very cool picture!!!
To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.
