Pics of my new Rose Oak
« on: August 17, 2008, 11:46:00 AM »
Here are some pictures Brandon just sent me of my new "Sunday go to meeting" bow. It is 60" and 58#@ 27". The riser is a gorgeous piece of cocobolo with a wenge wave accented with bloodwood pin stripes. The limbs are bamboo core with walnut burl veneers. I ordered this bow the last week of July and was given a delivery date of 8/31/08 and Brandon came in way ahead of schedule. Can't wait to shoot this beauty!

Wow! Way too pretty to shoot. I can see you will be too worried about it.
So (being the good soul I am) send it to me for safe keeping and I will store it in a low humidity enviroment and exersize it regularly so you won't have to worry. This will also give you an excuse to visit Wyoming.

No posts? well then let me say to you first.

Gorgeous bow. I have a small folder titled "beautiful bows" saved on my computer and yours makes it buddy.

I really like that. Only one problem... when I start making bows I might steal that wave pattern. lol. really neat bro

Would it be possible to see a better closeup of the riser?

As soon as I get the bow in my hands I will take a close up the riser and send you a picture. Brandon really does great work. Now if I can only shoot it half as good as it looks.

ParrieDog,
All though I would love to visit Wyoming I must pass on your generous offer to store and excercise this bow. I really hope to excercise it this fall on one of the big Maine Bucks we have roaming around here.

Woodslinger-I got my Wildcat TD earlier this year. They shoot every bit as good as they look. That is a real beauty you have there. Congradulations! Hap

The bow is gorgeous, I have thought about walnut veneers before and it would be hard to imagine finding any that were as figured & beautiful as those.
