Cleaning a Longbow Before Painting?
« on: August 18, 2008, 08:55:00 PM »
I'm going to camo (spray paint using 3 colors) my longbow.  Is there a particular solvent or substance one should use to ensure the bow is clean before painting?  I appreciate any responses.

Hey Hal,if its not the removable paint,I'd light sand with 220 and wipe with a tack rag of blow off before painting to ensure good adhesion.
Stay sharp, Kenny.

i would use alcohol to clean it, before painting it. and like kenny said, lightly sand.
