I know it's been ask before, but I'd like to hear from some of you fellas...
I would like to know how much weight is needed for Deer/ hogs ... In a longbow...
I've suffered an injury and was thinking of getting a light set up for hunting, but want to make sure..
Didn't someone say that Ken from Black Widow killed a Moose with 40lbs. bow???? I may be dreaming that... Thanks...

I believe your right Mr. Beck shoots 45ish. He has even been to Africa and taken game there. As far as deer and hogs go. Deer yes, but to me a pig more then a 150lbs is a tank. To me a big pig needs a heavy bow and a heavy arrow.

A 50# bow is light to a lot of guys and heavy to quite a few as well. I would say a 50# bow will kill anything in North America if ya keep the shots close and at the right angle. Shawn

very sharp BH will kill any game out of any bow. Put the arrow where it needs to be and You'll have backstrapes for dinner.

40 pounds will work on all but the largest (200# +) boars.

Mike Treadway told me he killed a Elk with a 41 lbs longbow ( with a pass thru ) and thats all he hunts with for all game . This year Im hunting with a 47 lbs treadway longbow and I think its as fast as any longbows Ive shot in the 50 lbs range .
