Holcomb Reproduction- Fast Flight or Not???
« on: August 25, 2008, 03:05:00 PM »
Anyone have any experience with Ed Holcombs Kodiak reproductions and the use of Fast Flight or other low stretch String Materials?

Please dont turn this into a FF Pros or Cons thread.  That horse has been severely beaten and I'm aware of the pros and cons.

I've been trying to get in touch with Ed with no luck.  I'm just wondering if those of you that have experience with his bows know whether or not FF can be used.

Thanks for any assistance, Trap

Hi Trap, when I had my Holcomb '57 I used FF type string with it; but I don't have any way of knowing if it was 'Kosher'.

Thanks Bjorn, When I got this 59 Repro it was stringless so I just put B50 on it.  I've always wanted to see how it shot with FF but never tried it.  The tips are pretty small and the overlays are pretty thin so I hate to risk it untill I hear something "for sure".
