I'm new to this whole traditional shooting and everthing that comes with it . I'm just seeing what wworks beter with traditional feather's vs banana's. I see alot of banana's and a good bit of traditional feather's too. I shoot a compound as well and i tested all kind's of feather's for that. If you can help out that would be great

It doesn't matter at all, its personal preference.
Amount of helical, number of feathers, and feather size have more impact on "what works better". Shape is less critical.
Bananas are probably quieter, but shield cut is much more handsome and just as deadly in my opinion. I like to shoot the same 5-inch traditional shield-cut out of my compound that I do from my longbow.

I found bananas and shield cut on the noisy side. I do not use for hunting but I use both for 3-D. Both look cool and if spliced impress you buddies.
I use parabolic on my hunting arrows. No noise. I may try someday to quite the bananas but this is not on my must do list right now. I am sure it can be done as others here will attest.

I like the shields I can feel the back corner of the feather in the corner of my lip gives me a secondary anchor point.I've never seen a differance with any shape.

I like playing around with them all. Hope to try bananas soon. The problem I had was my usual places don't carry them and ended up buying a chopper.
