Field tips from 3 rivers

I ordered the 11/32 glue on steel field tips for some wooden arrows.. Are the suppose to fit all the way onto the shaft? They will slide on to the end of the taper but stop at the untapered wood.. Any help?

It's so they don't stick out to the side of the shaft to far which will impeade arrow removel, make sense?

No, they are not the same. The point taper is longer, 5 degrees and the nock taper is shorter, 11 degrees. I'm not familiar with the bearpaw tool.
