I'm booked for a Moose hunt this fall. I'm thinking about a new suit of camo, some thing warm and quite. What is the best out there Wool or polar fleece?

I recently got a set of the Cabelas Wooltimate Fleece with windshear lining. Great stuff!! Wore it for the first time on Saturday in a 35 mph wind at a 3D shoot and never got cold.

Fleece is just OK.  Does not stop the wind.  Add the windstop and you have noise.  Plus you know what the 7th Dwarf would say about it (That was one of the meanest story I very read in TBM).

That leaves wool.  What's bad about it?  One of the best things nobody ever mentions is that it's the cheapest in the long run.  I'm going about 15 years with my SI suit and a KOM shirt.  Pretty sure they'll last longer than me.

I definitely second the KOM. (Blowdown)
I have worn my KOM Bowhunter jacket in pouring rain, warm weather (40-50's), freezing rain and -20 conditions. I have and still own ALOT of fleece, but nothing has lasted like it.  Don't get me wrong, it will get wet, but it stays warm and surprisingly dries quicker than I originally thought.  JMHO...Mark
