Anybody finding many rubs yet?

I have been seeing quite a few bucks out of velvet the last week or so, and decided today to go check out a staging area I like to hunt in the early season. I was pleasantly suprised to see several dozen rubs in the area! 4 of them were good'uns too! They were on tree's that I couldn't reach around with both hands. I usually don't find any on that size tree for at least another month. We have had some cooler than normal weather here and thats probably got them rubbing a litte aggressively for this time of year.
So anybody else finding any rubs?
Only 3 more weeks till the opener as well, It's starting to feel like hunting season!

I moved a stand today and didn't see any.. Granted I wasn't looking hard for them. I found just a superb trail backed by a line of brush pushed up by a dozer years ago. Perfect funnel around this ridge.
I checked my records and the earliest I've ever found a rub here was Sept. 24th... I'm sure they are starting with this cool weather. Season opens next Monday, the 15th.

Here in eastern N.C., absolutely none. My game camera from 3 weeks ago still showed 'em in full velvet.

Been finding them for the last two weeks as they came out of velvet, All small saplings and summac.
The big rubs don't show up around here till the end of October.
We will check cams this weekend, About half had lost there velvet already.

Found some dandies in lower Mich. last week. They were all from the same buck and in line, He has given himself away. Now if Oct. 1st would just hurry up and arrive I will be in business.
Arwin, I am hunting in Vernontville which is only about 12 miles from Hastings.

I work on a family tree farm, and I have seen a ton of rubs. We own close to 1200 acres and lease about 250 more. I haven't seen this much damage this early in years. Not good for tree farming but the hunting ought to be super. Now if I could just figure out how to make money on rubbed and marked up trees thinks would be a little easier. Oh well we are growing trees in thier yards so it should be expected. Just wish it didn't hurt so much. Big Ed
