Back in the saddle...
« on: September 11, 2008, 03:37:00 PM »
Sorry for the absence of late brothers and sisters, work took a drastic change and my plate has doubled in the last month and a half. With the additional stress, I just couldn't devote any time on the computer for anything other than work. Figure it's time I get back in the saddle over here....

Bowseason starts Saturday here, thought I'd post a few recent pics from some of my game cams on my farm here:

This is a pretty good buck for my part of the country (and the two others in the pic are just icing). This is in a spot we call "sanctuary," the stand is a 12 yard shot to where the buck is standing. Hope he'll stick around for the St. Jude's hunt here....

Mamma checking things out....

and junior getting a closer look (that's about 2').

I think I found one of the responsible partys...

for this clutch from earlier this spring, found about 20 yards up that hollow behind the turkey.

Lots of fat does coming through...

hope to get Chase his first one with a longbow this year.

Good to be back, hope I can do it more regularly.

Welcome back JC. I had a bad run with work for about 4 years but most of that is behind me I hope. That is a nice buck for your part of the state. I hope whomever gets it really appreciates it and know just how special one is that size from around there. Go into those woods and breathe deep my friend for it is now our time.

Hey Joe, just talked to Mike and he said he had a couple of special stands for Chase and myself...Sounds like yall need to be planning an October Road Trip.....This pic is about 100 yards from where you had the 8 point walk by..ask Chase if he's big enough...We're glad your back posting and Dad said to call him on your way home Tomorrow.....Maybe Chase will  get a shot at that buck.....
