My faded camo---I tuned it up!!!!Photo!!!
« on: September 12, 2008, 06:41:00 PM »
My old faded camo was showing up too light colored, so I mixed up some dark green dye and dyed them. This camo has the holes for better coolness and we need it here. This way I did not have to buy new camo. I put the dye in a bucket and used a 2' handle brush. See photo!
I took this photo from 12 yards which is the average distance for me to shoot bucks.
In the photo the set I dyed is on the right side. The set on the left is the non holey and did not fade. They both looked the same color when new.

Nice job and quite creative.  I do like lighter colored camo because it doesn't look so much like a big dark blob at a distance.

Over a long winter and being bored I have hand painted each piece of Camo that was getting faded. It came out alright and it blends in reasonably well and it helped the winter past faster.

Stickbowmanmi, what kind of paint did you use? Did you use a brush? I would love to see a photo. Ken

I used paint pens in green, black, brown and tan. When I get them out for hunting in October, I will attempt to photo and send the pictures to you.
