Carbonwood question?
« on: September 12, 2008, 08:08:00 PM »
I recently purchased a dozen vapormaxx carbonwood 3000 shafts.  The shafts say ACA-W on them. The internal diameter of these shafts is different than the camo 3000 shafts and also gold tip arrows.  The internal diameter is bigger.  Traditional inserts flop around.  What gives.  I can't find any info on these shafts.
THanks,
Bret

If I remember correctly the V-MAX shafts were 11/32 and the regular carbonwood shafts something like 5/16.

Ron LaClair used to sell the V-MAX shafts. You may want to shoot him an email. I am sure he will give the correct info on the shafts.

V-MAXX are larger diameter then the standard Carbonwoods. You can get nocks for them at Kustom King and you can get 100 gr. brass inserts for V-MAXX at gomuzzy.com and of course you can pick up points a 3Rivers or Kustom King.
