F.H. Ayres Longbows

My Dad's a picker and e[Bay tycoon  :)   He found some F.H. Ayres ELBs at an estate auction and wants to find out more about them.  I have done a search on the web with limited success.  Anybody know some stuff about them?  I'll get pics and stuff if that'll help.
