Colorado elk hunt ?
« on: September 18, 2008, 06:01:00 PM »
Me and my father are leaving for Colorado this week-end(longbows in hand) for a DIYS elk hunt until the end of season...or I probably should say we will be exploring for, rather than hunting at this point. Weve been once bfore and killed a couple nice cows ( about 15 years ago ) in the Hancock area..this brings me to my question : Is this area still open ? Permit ? If this place is closed we will be starting from ground 0. Any help from any one in regards to this and any other possibilities and places would be greatly apprecciated ! Would love maybe to meet up with some other tradgangers/traditional archery hunters..thanks to everyone for your help, Shane

I think you will be doing some exploring, I am pretty sure that area is a draw unit.  Here is a link to the regs and some guides.
